This system designates corporations that provide housing support to those who need housing assistance, based on the Housing Safety Net Law.
The elderly, people with disabilities, and low-income individuals often have difficulty renting homes due to various concerns from landlords. Similarly, single mothers and foreigners also struggle to secure housing. To address these issues, the revised Housing Safety Net Law of 2017 started a "new housing safety net system" using private rental housing and vacant houses.
Housing safety net housing and housing support corporations exist as means to solve these problems.
Purpose of Housing Support Corporation
We support smooth move-in to private rental housing for those who need housing assistance.
Our target individuals include:
- Elderly
- People with mental disabilities
- Single-parent households
- Low-income individuals (excluding welfare recipients and those in financial difficulty)
- People leaving child care facilities
- People with physical disabilities
- Families raising children
- Welfare recipients
- Disaster victims
- Former inmates (under rehabilitation protection)
- People with intellectual disabilities
- Domestic violence victims
- People in financial difficulty (subject to self-reliance consultation support)
- Crime victims
- LGBT (sexual minorities)
Services Provided by Housing Support Corporation
- Rent debt guarantee for registered housing tenants
- Provision of information and consultation desks for smooth move-in to rental housing
- Monitoring and living support for those who need various considerations
- Business incidental to 1-3 above
*Housing support corporations are not required to perform all of the above 1-4 services

Pre-move-in Support
- Housing consultation
- Property viewing accompaniment and rental contract attendance
- Emergency contact provision
- Subleasing (we rent and sublet to tenants)
- Moving support (furniture arrangement, loading/unloading)
- Property and real estate agent introduction
- Support plan creation and service coordination
- Guarantor acceptance for rental contracts
- Temporary housing support (shelters, etc.)
- Contract acceptance for remaining belongings disposal
During Residence Support
- Safety confirmation and emergency response (emergency calls, on-site visits)
- Living support (housework, shopping, hospital visit accompaniment)
- Building relationships with neighbors, salon participation
- Pre-need contracts
- Regular or occasional visits
- Financial and property management
- Employment support
Death/Move-out Support
- Post-death administrative delegation (lease termination, death notification, insurance and pension cancellation)
